“Agreement to supply raw material to local restaurants”

On August 29th, 2006, at San Antonio Oeste, Río Negro, was carried out the first meeting to promote the pilot experience “Agreement to supply raw material to local restaurants”

This experience implies the organization of the seafood supplying from artisanal fishermen to local restaurants during the Summer, using the Artisanal Fishing Terminal to guarantee quantity and quality of the provisions

Attended to the meeting artisanal fishermen, preserved food industry and restaurants representatives, scientists from the IBMP and FVSA staff members.

Pilot Experience II
"A day of artisanal fishing"

During September, the guidelines for a new touristic, productive and cultural activity was started being developed for Las Grutas and San Antonio Oeste.

This activity consists of a tour to octupus fishing sites aimed to small groups of tourists. The goal is that the visitors may  share a fishing journey with an artisanal fisherman and a tour guide, discovering together the secrets of this particular fishing while making an environmental interpretation of the intertidal ecosystem and its species.
